Globetrotter's Ranking©
A unique database of and for globetrotters
Within a couple of months we are going to launch the Globetrotter's Ranking© on this site, and it's going to be a dream of a database of and for globetrotters like you.
A dream?
Absolutely! Because with a couple of mouse clicks you'll be able to locate fellow globetrotters from all over the world and order the list by whatever criteria you want. People who've travelled in Australia or to Easter Island? No problem. Globetrotters from your own country? Just ask. All those thirty-somethings who like diving, or cycling? There they are. Looking for a traveller with experience of Turkey? Here's a list of twenty. All with first name, photo, age, sex, where they live, interests, list of countries visited, journey descriptions, experiences and ...
e-mail address!
A unique database. Where you can enter information at any time you like ... but where you can find information too. A database in which you can browse endlessly. Make contacts. Share tips and experiences. Find travelling companions. Forge new friendships. You name it. It's obvious, really: the more globetrotters get together, the more interesting and enjoyable it is for everyone.
How do you get involved?
By being included in, and using, the Globetrotter's Ranking© you must
of course - what else? -
1) have a Globetrotter's LogBook®
2) register your LogBook
Do it quickly. Then not only will you have a splendid LogBook for all your notes, souvenirs etc. when you're travelling, but you will shortly be able to browse extensively in the Globetrotter's Ranking©. And who know what good things may
come from that …

Why will the Globetrotter's Ranking© only come on line in
a couple of months?
Because we're waiting for your information (joke). Seriously, though, the Globetrotter's Ranking® is not yet available because this web site has only just been started up. So there isn't a lot of data in the database yet. Though it looks as if there will be soon. Keep an eye on our newsletter. Then you'll be the first to know!

In my LogBook it says that I must collect official date stamps to take part in the Globetrotter's Ranking©. Do I really need to do that?
That is not really required. But it would be cool. A competition in itself, really, because it isn't always easy everywhere. And there's something magical about having all those stamps in your LogBook. There are even globetrotters who only collect stamps from capital cities in their LogBooks. And who knows, one day we may even offer a prize to the globetrotter with the best or most unusual collection
of official date stamps. |
